Luz Andrea Ramirez brings over 14 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, with a focus on medical affairs leadership across Latin America. She has led regional and country-level teams for global companies including Amgen, Shire, Baxalta, and Baxter—successfully guiding clinical strategy, regulatory collaboration, and stakeholder engagement in complex, high-stakes environments.

As Country Medical Director at Amgen Colombia, Luz directed major medical initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic, advancing clinical trial operations and pioneering regional best practices in medical science liaison (MSL) performance. Her work accelerated clinical trial KPIs, strengthened compliance, and increased engagement with key opinion leaders across hematology and immunology. Prior to Amgen, she held leadership roles across the Andean region, where she drove post-merger medical team integrations, launched innovative early access programs, and expanded medical affairs visibility, leading to greater investment in clinical research and CME.

A medical doctor with a Master’s in Public Health from Emory University, Luz is bilingual in English and Spanish. Her leadership is marked by a deep commitment to patient-centered strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and transforming healthcare outcomes across emerging markets.
