How can executive leaders assess if their organizations are in need of a transformation? Start by considering the future: Do you believe that your business will continue to meet and exceed its goals based on your current strategy? If you look clinically (removing hope and optimism, but avoiding pessimism) how secure are you about your enterprise’s future?

If gazing into the proverbial crystal ball causes feelings of anxiety or uncertainty, it might be time for a transformation.

Next, perform a self-administered gut check. You can’t be bold without intestinal fortitude, and transformations require leaders to stand for the future of their organizations, while still being flexible, adaptable, and agile to get where they want to go.
