A newly promoted VP of Marketing at a large pharmaceutical company had an imperative to formulate her U.S. marketing team.

Insigniam’s leadership development consultants worked with her and her team to design a culture of breakthrough thinking. The marketing team built strong alignment around ‘positioning themselves as the first choice product for surgeries’. A key aspect to realizing this breakthrough vision was to formulate the team. The formulation work included:

  • Operating structures for working together
  • Clarification of roles and responsibilities
  • Clarification of business direction and priorities
  • Design of operating principles

Next, they formed three sub-team projects that would produce inspiring results over the next 6 months and enable them to be the ‘first choice product for surgeries’. The sub-team leaders received on-going coaching to ensure the execution of their deliverables.
Each sub team succeeded on achieving its Breakthrough Project.
