The SVP of supply chain for a home products company indicated that the leadership group for the supply chain neither operated as a team nor aligned on the need for improvement in the way they functioned. Contract manufacturing, procurement, warehousing, and distribution participated in Breakthrough Project and leadership development sessions.

The engagement included:

  • An introductory session in breakthrough thinking for the supply chain leadership team
  • Work sessions on formulating two Breakthrough Projects
  • Several large educational sessions on breakthrough thinking

The company achieved significant reduction in the costs of goods sold through better procurement practices and package re-engineering.
