Meeting an Aggressive Growth Strategy
A new business development group within a large chemical company needed to increase the number of molecule products in the pipeline and create new applications for existing molecules.
The company’s long-term business strategy required new business development to achieve aggressive growth for the company. Over the past three years, the new product development group’s trends were not on track with the growth strategy.
The group consisted of members across functions such as sales, marketing, and innovation. The team broke into four subgroups to lead business transformation in four key areas for their growth strategy: 1.) Customer Relationships, 2.) Innovation, 3.) Assets, 4.) Internal Teamwork & Collaboration.
Leading change and creating a roadmap for success in each of these areas enabled the group to get on track for the company’s aggressive long-term growth strategy.
